Godington Artemis (Diana to her friends) is a very smart 2006 mare by Muschamp Korsakof (Muschamp Danube x Mozart) out of Godington Alaska (by Gasparone). She has been lightly backed and bred a foal in 2010, before being brought back into work in 2011. Artemis would suit someone wanting to compete at either dressage or eventing. The picture was taken in June 2011. Diana is in foal to Contis for 2013.
She has an even temperament and three good paces. Her sire worked and competed in pure dressage and his sire, Muschamp Danube was the foundation Trakehner Stallion in England, and made a significant contribution to Trakehner breeding. He produced three graded sons notably Fleetwater Opposition, winner of gold medals in eventing and as an advanced dressage stallion. The dam of Artemis has produced Godington Astrakhan (Inspekteur), another successful dressage horse.
