An outstanding stock getter, Hannibal already has two graded stallion sons, three elite performance tested daughters and six premium-graded daughters as well as the Champion Riding Horse 2003, Reserve Champion Part-bred 2004, Champion Part-bred 2005, Champion Colt Foal 2005 and winning Colt Foal 2007. In 2009 his daughter out of a TB mare was Reserve Grading Champion and his niece was Mare Performance Test Champion and Reserve Supreme Show Champion.  More daughters were premium graded and became Reserve Champions of the grading in 2012, 2015 and 2016, and another daughter was premium graded, Grading Champion, Performance Test Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion in 2019, with another daughter becoming Free Jumping Champion in 2019.  His first premium-graded daughter’s first foal was the Champion Foal in 2015, her second foal became 2017 Champion Foal and Reserve Supreme Show Champion, and her third foal was Champion Foal in 2019.  She herself became Veteran Champion, Broodmare Champion, Best British Bred and Supreme Champion in 2019.

In 2008, Hannibal's first premium-graded daughter made the 2012 World Class pathway, was placed at Weston Park CCI2* (now CCI3*) and qualified 3* (now 4*). His full-brother was placed 4th at Weston Park CCI2* (now CCI3*), 5th at Ballindenisk CCI3* (now CCI4*) and competed at CCI4* (now CCI5*) at Luhmühlen and Pau in 2012. His 7 year old son out of a Maestro mare launched his international career with an impressive performance at Osberton CCI1* (now CCI2*), moving up to two-star (now three-star) in 2015 and winning his first dressage outing at Medium. Two further full-brothers out of this same mare are carving out dressage careers, with multiple wins at Novice, Elementary and Medium. His 6 year old daughter started eventing with a BE90 placing on her second run and BE100 placings just weeks later, followed by a string of BE100 placings and a win in 2016.

Hannibal's sire Roland was himself three times Champion Trakehner Stallion and produced numerous winners in hand and at top-level under saddle. Hannibal's dam Godington Havel V was a Premium and State Premium mare, Performance Test Champion and winning showjumper with a mouthwatering performance pedigree.

Hannibal himself is an all-round performer with tremendous natural jumping ability, outstanding temperament and Trakehner charm. He won his NASTA Performance Test as a four-year-old at Class 1 Elite and rapidly mastered his chosen sport of eventing. Under Swedish international Dag Albert, he competed at Varseveld, Le Lion d'Angers, Malmo, Windsor, Punchestown, Saumur, Blenheim, Fontainebleau, Luhmühlen and the World Cup Final at Pau. Hannibal was on the short-list for the Swedish Olympic Team in 2004.

Hannibal is a versatile and successful sire, reliably passing on his temperament, movement and looks. He has produced champions from every crop and from a wide variety of mares. In 2004 Godington Stud received the Supporters of British Breeding Certificate of Recognition for Hannibal's contribution to British breeding. Hannibal has worldwide breeding approval from the Trakehner Verband as well as approval from the AES and SHBGB, all full WBFSH member stud-books, and Weatherby's NTR. He was awarded Elite status by Trakehners UK in 2016.
