Family Outing at Little Downham
Hannibal, his full-brother
Haarlem and his daughter Barcelona were all placed in their respective
sections. Hannibal ran for fun as a late substitution in the Open
Intermediate, taking the last round of the last section of the last
event of the season, and it was a real tonic to see such an exhibition
in all the phases. Haarlem and Barcelona both finish the season full of
running and graded Intermediate.

Trakehner Breeders Fraternity Mare Grading
2007
There were sucesses all round at
the annual Grading , with all three Godington representatives passing
their studbook inspections. Bangkok was graded for her new owners, and
Asia and Umbria were also graded. Umbria was awarded a Premium (subject
to performance testing) and became Champion of the Mare Grading from a
very strong entry of 24.

TBF Annual Show 2007
As well as success in the mare
grading, we also enjoyed a good outing at the annual breed show. Our
Hannibal colt foal Godington Trasimeno ("Johnny") won his class amid
very complimentary remarks from the German judges, and G. Alaska was
3rd in a strong class of older broodmares, bested only by two imported
Premium mares.

Competition News -
Godington Haarlem
Haarlem goes from strength to
strength, being placed in every outing at Intermediate. He has also
tasted international competition with CIC** outings at Aston-le-Walls
and Gatcombe. Frustratingly balloted from Weston Park CCI** in October,
he will run at the few remaining Intermediate fixtures this season
before settling down to Winter training in preparation for the 2008
campaign.

Haarlem Placed First
Intermediate Run
After a good run at Borde Hill on
the 28th May in appalling weather conditions, where Haarlem was 6th and
Barcelona 3rd, both horses were entered for the Intermediate class at
Little Downham in the scorching heat of June 2nd. Haarlem was 10th (due
to two non-cooperative showjumps). Barcelona was unplaced, but made a
very good first effort.
